Seniors commit to Grand View University

The Raiders have had a season filled with firsts, beating Wylie High, first senior class, and first playoff berth. Wednesday, Feb.1 was another first, national signing day in which high school athletes sign a National Letter of Intent with a university. Family, coaches and teammates gathered as senior football captains Jacob Hosking and Tyler Morris signed with Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. Hosking and Morris will set sail from Raiders to Vikings together as they begin their college careers.  Tyler’s cousin, Austin Morris is also considering Grand View, the next signing day is March.6

Hey guys my name is Laine, I am the Wylie East sports editor. I write for Neighborsgo, The Wylie News, Blueprint, and the student newspaper, The Raider Reader. I have always loved sports; my favorite teams are the Rangers, LSU tigers, Dallas Cowboys, and Dallas Mavericks. I have attended sporting events my entire life such as Rangers, Cowboys, and Mavericks games. I played baseball since I was little and I was center in football from seventh to ninth grade. I have a huge passion for sports, I am constantly watching ESPN and I keep up with just about all of the history of all Sports and all teams. I hope to become a professional sports writer someday and maybe If i'm luck work for ESPN.
