The flavor is a creamy blend of espresso and chocolate, topped with a limited edition chocolate crunch which essentially is chocolate chips on top of a drink. While it may seem frivolous, the drink is a perfect mix of sweetness and espresso. Overall, the drink is a good addition to the spring menu.
While the spring seasonal menu showcases an abundance of new, fun drinks, the clear standout is the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip flavor. If you’re a fan of lattes and semi-sweet chocolate with a lovely coffee taste, I’d recommend the latte. However, if you’re a fan of super sweet milkshake-type drinks, the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip freeze is the way to go. And for people who love a strong coffee taste, I would suggest the cold brew edition.
The other drinks in the menu are a fun fruit punch flavor and a unique and colorful kool blue flavor. So, for coffee fans, the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip flavor is the only option. However, if the drink seems too sweet or wild for coffee fans, Dutch Bros also has an entire menu of coffees, lattes and espresso filled beverages.
A downside of the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip flavor is that oftentimes the employees do not add enough chocolate drizzle, so sometimes it doesn’t look like how it should, but this is a small grievance, considering how yummy the drink is overall.
