Squashing all lunches together, principals present the idea of a mega lunch: all students and staffulty will eat at the same time.

“We will send out flyers and videos giving students the details they need to know,” Principal Mike Williams said. “You can find these videos on Youtube on the Wylie ISD channel.”

Clubs, organizations and teachers will have designated days to meet and hold tutoring for those seeking help during mega lunch.

“If you’re involved with sports, fine arts, clubs and organizations, you now have an hour to work on makeup work and tutorials,” Assistant Principal Cody Plake said.

Juniors and seniors will still be able to go off campus for lunch. If they take an underclassman off campus their privileges will be taken away for the rest of the semester and they will have to sit in lunch detention.

“Students will also be able to eat anywhere in the school,” Plake said. “All we ask, is that they throw away their trash so we can keep these areas clean.”
