The girls golf team took home second place after the North Forney invitational March 18. The team, made up of seniors Marlynne Penequito, Taylor Clay, sophomore Grace Brackenridge, freshmen Erin Baum and Allie Dorsey, missed first place by only one stroke.

As individuals, Penequito placed fourth, Clay placed sixth and Baum placed eighth.

“This was Erin’s first time to medal as a high school golfer and Allie Dorsey had her best score yet,” coach Melinda Black said. “The girls had a great tournament. I’m so proud of them.”
