Varsity basketball falls to Wylie High

Feb. 17 was the big playoff position game. More importantly it was another chance at trying to beat the rival team, Wylie High. Losing 51-76, the boys  did not gain the playoff spot.

The varsity boys home game against Wylie High School Feb. 17 had a small delay at the beginning because of artificial noise makers used in the stands.

The score was neck and neck the entire first half. Both student sections had spirit props and were chanting cheers almost the entire game.

“Our student section came and showed major support,” junior Tony Bradley said. “It is always a fun and exciting game to look forward too, I just wish the results turned out in our favor.”

After junior Jared Wyatt suffered from a finger injury, the team fell short 76-51.

“The game was very exciting and nerve wrecking,” senior Robert Benners said. “It was a very tough loss, because it was our senior night, against our rival, and our last home game for the season.”
