The Sapphires went to competition over the weekend and spent their free time building up to the big day enjoying themselves at the Great Wolf Lodge. The ladies went shopping and fine dining with small practice sessions in between. After the competition results were ecstatic.

The team as a whole took Sweepstakes for a combined score of 85 or above on three routines along with Super Sweepstakes for a combined score of 93 or above in their three routines. They took first in the Large Team Prop division along with the judge’s award for Overall Outstanding Showmanship.

The officer line took Sweepstakes along with second place for the Officer Novelty Division. They took first in the Prop division and got the judge’s award for Overall Outstanding Showmanship.

The four soloists: Jesslynn Grigsby, Jessica Farrias, Billie Watson and Audrey Jones all qualified for Division 1 Solos. Audrey Jones, a freshman, made Solo Finalist and placed eighth in the ninth and tenth grade Solo Division.
