JROTC is coming to town \\ Checking out at the Wylie Walmart Colonel Brooks McFarland shows JROTC the true meaning of Christmas. Every year, members of JROTC cadets go class-to-class collecting money from their peers and teachers to purchase gifts for the Wylie Way Christmas Angels. “We were able to raise more money this year, which was really cool because we could give even more presents out,” C/1Lt TJ Garvin said.

The distance \\ Choir Director Dr. Nathan Dame directs his students to “Go the Distance” in their fall Concert. “This concert took so much stress and worry, from figuring out how to safely have a concert to problem-solving when some of our choir family was quarantined,” Gammon said. “This concert took patience and hope and perseverance to put on, but we did it and we did it beautifully.”

Front of the class \\ Colonel Brooks McFarland teaches his third period JROTC class synchronously, where he instructs both remote students and on-campus students simultaneously. Remote learners listen in via a Google Meet. On Wednesdays, the cadets must dress in their uniforms. Remote learners are expected to follow the same dress code as the on-campus learners.
