Castleman went to college at Texas State University. She lived in the dorms for three years and was the Senior Resident Assistant of her own hallway. She loved going to college and seeing all of her friends. She graduated in 2013 from Texas State University.

“Dr. McCabe made my college experience great,” Castleman said.” He made my major mathematics classes fun to go to, and he helped me realize teaching is what I wanted to do.”

She graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.

“When you go to college, go to class and find a balance of working hard and build up your social life,” Castleman said.

She remembers in college that she had good teachers who prepared her and had great programs. She had fun at college.
