Student makes All- State men’s choir
Sophomore Clayton Mobley made the all-state Men’s choir, which means that he beat out 2500 competitors at the auditions Jan. 27. Mobley has been in Choir for all four years and plans on making this year his best.
“The stress put into the Allstate is a lot,” Mobley said. “It’s crazy because everyone is so talented, also it looks good on college scholarships. I’m very excited about the rehearsal.”
Mobley tried out for the all-state men’s choir earlier this year and won the audition. Getting the audition is an honor and is Mobley’s first time doing something of this stature.
“I’m really proud of him because I’ve been in choir with him for three years now and he’s put in a lot of hard work and personal time to be able to achieve this,” senior Joshua McGuire said.
He will represent WEHS next week at his rehearsal and concert in San Antonio.
“He’s so talented and it’s great that he finally gets to show it off,” senior Andrew Rothe said.
