Get those spoons and crackers ready.

Student Council will host the very first chili cook-off Jan. 25 in the rubber gym from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Go watch the basketball games then enjoy a bowl of chili.

A variety of organizations, booster clubs and individuals will cook chili for the cook-off. Everyone is invited to sample the chili for $5.

Judges will award first and second place prizes for the best chili.

Anybody who wants to partake can pay for a ‘sampler’ tray for $5 which will also allow them to cast a vote for ‘Fan Favorite.’

Proceeds will go to the Lone Star Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America, in memory of junior Theresa Sackey, who passed away on the first day of school.
