Cross Country took a total of 52 boys and girls to meet at the Marcus I Convention Saturday Aug. 31.

“We had a great first meet,” Coach Zuniga said.

Senior Grant Buley came in 17^th place out of 219 runners in the 5A varsity race.

“I would like to have our team get to top three at regions and go to state. I would also like to get top three at state,” Buley said.

Sarah Scott took 27^th out of 197 runners in the girls 5A varsity race.

“I enjoyed the atmosphere and the tough competition against the other runners,” Scott said.

$Coach of the year \\ In the last 30 seconds of the semi-finals, Coach Kody Christensens varsity soccer team was up 2-1 against Grapevine April 16. They defeated to move on to the State championship.$

$The Wikid Duo dominates \\ “Wikid Duo,” consisting of Seniors Libby Villegas and Jordan Dorsey were awarded first place and also Fan Favorite which is an award voted on by the fans. Dorsey played the piano while Villegas sang a medley arrangement.$

$Sapphires in the musical \\ Thing one and Thing two, played by senior Peyton Demetrovich and junior Dennis Haney, are accompanied by experienced dancers, the Sapphires. Junior Maddie Duval, Chorus Line captain, has also been a part of advanced theatre for the past three years and junior Diana Davis, member of the Chorus Line, is a third year member of choir.$
