The National Honor Society chapters from Wylie High School and Wylie East High School went head-to-head to see who could reach their fundraising goal first for Habitat for Humanities, a house-building volunteer charity that builds houses for those who could not afford it on their own. The prize for winning the contest was that the losing school’s principal would wear the other school’s spirit-wear for an entire school day. East lost by $200. Between the two schools $8,200 was raised for the build. Of the districts working on this build, Wylie is the only one who has raised any money. Wylie East and Wylie High are working as one group on the build Jan. 28. To make a donation to help the cause go to the NHS page under clubs and organizations on the Wylie ISD homepage, click the link at the bottom of the Habitat for Humanities announcement to choose a member to support or make a gift.

About the Contributor
Caitlyn Bogart, Co-Editor In Chief
Good day, evening, afternoon or whatever time of day it happens to be while you read this, I hope you’re having a great time. I am a senior and Editor in Chief. I look forward to making our team as strong and seamless as possible. I honestly have no idea how to write this. You would think I would be better considering I’ve done this for three years running, but I’m a news writer. I am much better at writing about others. Writing is a huge part of my life. I plan on majoring in Business Marketing and English with a creative writing minor because I also write fiction books, one of which will be published this year for my Texas Performance Study Program (TPSP) project, so watch out! I live inside my head a lot and enjoy long philosophical conversations. I kind of feel like I just wrote an ad for a dating site. Didn’t mean to, but it happened.
