Congratulations to junior Juan Ponce, who just competed in the Freestyle and Greco Wrestling State Championship. He placed first in Freestyle Wrestling and second in Greco Wrestling. He is representing Team Texas at the USA Wrestling National Championships.

Texas/USA Wrestling is a volunteer organization that helps the amateur wrestling community.  This year’s tournament is in Daytona Beach, Fla June 13-19.

“This is an awesome opportunity for competitve wrestlers in our state to contend against the best our country has to offer,” Head Wrestling Coach Duncan Iannucci said. “Any contribution would be helpful to help this wrestler reach his goal.”
