Sophomore Maddie Tuebo takes Mrs.Christie Turner’s lifetime nutrition and wellness class which teaches you about the importance of exercise and eating healthy. Students were taught how to do yoga.

“I learned that it’s good for people to have a daily exercise routine,” Tuebo said.

Mrs. Turner taught her students yoga to help them understand how to exercise.

“My favourite part was learning all the activities we could do,” Tuebo said.

Being in a classroom and trying to do yoga and exercise had some difficulties such as lack of space because there were a lot of students in the classroom.

“The activity itself wasn’t hard, but we had limited space to move around in,” Tuebo said.

Students also had a difficult time trying to do the stretches that Mrs.Turner was teaching them because of the dress code .

“We had to be in our school uniforms which made it kind of hard to do all the poses,” Tuebo said.

Students learned a lot about health and how important it is to exercise daily.

“We learned about dieting, how much we should be exercising and how to balance a healthy lifestyle,” Tuebo said.

This wasn’t Tuebos first time doing yoga but she still learned from it.

“I learned that yoga has a lot of benefits like relaxing your mind. This was not my first time doing yoga but this routine dia have a faster pace than most yoga programs I know.”
