School wins district canned food drive

The school district challenged all campuses to collect canned food for the Christian Care Center.

Wylie East won the competition by collecting the most cans, 13,621.

Mr. Casey Whittle, Principal Mike Williams and STUCO sponsor Angela Arp along with student council members accepted a trophy presented by the WISD administration Dec. 1.

$Circle time \\ On Nov. 28, the Bollywood Dance Team began their meeting with President Priya Rathor talking to the club members. During the first five minutes of the meetings, the dancers went into a circle. “I am glad that y’all were able to come to today’s meeting, and hopefully we can get more members when we perform the dance” Rathor said during their team bonding time before jumping into the dance choreography for their practice.$

$Whodunnit \\ Dramatically monologuing, junior Dahlia Curry, in the character of Belle Dove, implores the audience to believe that she is not the killer of Harry Snotter. “This is definitely my second favorite show that I’ve done, only after Grease.” Curry said. “Both were very fun.”$
