The English III classes recently wrote their own slam poems. Slam poetry is performance poetry. Students were to write about a topic they were passionate about. Some chose to perform their poems using inflection and hand gestures. Junior Faithann Walker recites her poem as classmates Kianna Nash and Lexie Brown act out her lines.
