Raiders win against Greenville Lions
According to Greenville’s current stats of being 0-37 since 2009, Wylie East was favored to win this game Oct. 18. Winning 48-6, the Raiders really cracked their whips.
“We felt good coming into the game and when we left we had high hopes,” sophomore Jared Wyatt said.
East played well and they believed it was an all-around good game for them.
“We worked together as a team and did what we needed to do,” Wyatt said.
This game helps continue the Raiders’ path to play offs.
“I believe that we can do special things in playoffs this year,” sophomore Braden Shewmake said.
The Raiders say that they still need to work on limiting their penalties and touch up little things to make their plays less sloppy.
“I was disappointed in the amount of errors we had on the offense,” senior Garrett McCain said.
East will continue their season with lots of confidence and it’s a great thing for them.
“We worked together as a team and did what we needed to do,” Wyatt said.
Catch them Friday, Oct. 25, at Wylie Stadium when they play Royse City at 7:30 p.m.
