Girls win at district

Girls win at district

Track season has come to a close. It was a happy ending for the varsity track girls as they made it to the district level.

E’Lexus Garvin was the 100 meter dash District Champion. Kylie Nodorft placed third and Taylor Bradley placed fourth in the same event. All three qualified for the Area Track Meet in that event.

The relay teams did well also coming home with two District Championships. The 4×100 and 4×200 relay team, whose members include, Nodorft, Garvin, Macie Lee, Amira Coleman, and Bradley finished first in these events and either broke or set school records.

4 individual Regional Qualifiers: 

  • Grant Buley in the 3200 & 1600 m run.
  • Sarah Scott in the 800 & 1600 m run.
  • E’lexus Garvin in the 100 m dash.
  • Kylie Nodorft in the 100 m dash.

 

3 Relay Regional Qualifiers

  • The Varsity Girls  4×100 meter relay  (Kylie Nodorft, E’lexus Garvin, Macie Lee, & Amira Coleman)
  • The Varsity Girls  4×200 meter relay  (E’lexus Garvin, Amira Coleman, Kylie Nodorft, & Taylor Bradley)
  • The Varsity Boys 4×200 meter relay (Cameron Collins, Toby Amadi, Marcell Ateman, & Quan Jones)

The Regional meet is on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, at UTA Maverick Stadium.  The top two in each event will advance to the State Track Meet in Austin.
