Quarterback Garrett McCain has been nominated for FOUR different awards this week and needs your votes!
1. The Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Week Award. McCain threw 420 yards and six touchdowns during the Homecoming game Sept. 28. - McCain has also been nominated for the Gridiron Legends Player of the Week award, presented by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football on behalf of Cavender’s and Wrangler. Garrett is one of 10 nominees for the weekly statewide award, which is 100 percent decided by fan voting. The poll, located at www.texasfootball.com, closes Friday at noon. - McCain is nominated for the TXA21 and Children’s Medical Center Player of the Week for last week’s football game. Five players throughout the North Texas area have been selected and the one with the most votes will be announced on the TXA21 High School Kick-Off Show on Thursday, from 6:30 – 7 p.m. Voting ends Wednesday at noon, so please encourage Wylie East Raiders supporters to visit http://www.childrensmedmag.com/football to vote.
