Junior Jewels learn to dance like princess

Junior Jewels learn to dance like princess

Bouncing to the beat of Hannah Montana, over a 100 little girls joined the Sapphires for their second Junior Jewels Clinic of the year Saturday, April 14.

The Junior Jewels girls were even invited to join the Sapphires on stage at their Spring Show May 5.

Girls in kindergarten through sixth grade learned to dance to the song “You Can Tell She’s A Princess,” from the Barbie Princess Charm School TV show.

The clinic returned to dancing for another hour before letting the girls play games. “Fruit Cocktail” and freeze dance were among the most popular games.

“Playing games and dancing was exhausting but being around the little girls made it worth it,” sophomore Casey Holz said.

After the clinic, parents filed into the competition gym to watch their kids perform their routine.

Sapphires are excited to share the stage with the Junior Jewels at their spring show.

“This would be the first time that the Junior Jewels dance with us at Spring Show; it is a really fun event for the girls to look forward to,” freshman Marison Clayton  said.
