With a win of 2-0, the Lady Raiders JV soccer girls played the Rockwall Heath Hawks March 5 at the WISD stadium at 5:30. The girls played a hard game and pulled out on top. It was a nice day to play soccer and the girls took advantage of it.
The referees did not show up to the game, so the coaches of both teams had to make the calls.
“Coach Christenson played fair and didn’t pick sides,” defensive midfield Molli Pampolina said.
The two players to score were left outside midfielder Caitlin Hogan and central attacking midfielder Molly Cannon.
Following the JV game, the varsity Lady Raiders took the field. The ROTC cadets presented the flags and the National Anthem was played. The varsity girls put in a great effort, but fell short with their first loss of the season of 3-0.
“It was disappointing, but we can play a lot better than we did,” varsity center midfield Kyla Kalinski said.
