Danny Kown, a sophomore on the JV football team, is a hard hitting 16 year old who has no mercy. Kown has played football for four years and plans to play the rest of his high school years.
Kown was inspired to take football to the next level one day when he was playing a pickup game with his friends.
“I hit a guy and and liked it and thought about how fun it would be in full pads,” Kown said. “That hit was amazing, and I wanted to get to hit even harder,” Kown said.
By that one inspirational moment, he is now left tackle for the JV football team.
Kown’s favorite part of the game is the beginning.
“I love the adrenaline rush before the game,” Kown said.
Kown is very enthusiastic which leads to his least favorite part of the game “loosing.”
Kown’s coaches think highly of him as an athlete.
“Kown is fun to be around, a hard worker and an all-around great kid,” Coach Tim McCune said. “Danny did great this season. He worked hard and improved,” McCune said.
Kown’s goal is to “win the state championship with varsity.” Therefore his future goal is to “play for the Washington Redskins.”
