Many students are able to obtain jobs and still manage the grades a good student needs in school. Some students are even able to keep up with extracurricular activities in and out of school as well.
It is said that for every hour spent in a classroom you should spend two hours studying. If this is true, then how can this happen if a student has to go to work right after school? As students get older, money becomes a necessity. Students also need to keep their grades up so that they may pursue their dreams of possibly going to a good college or starting their own business.
How do teenagers manage to go to school for seven hours a day, sleep for eight hours on a good night’s rest, work for about six hours a day and then be expected to keep your grades up?
With all that going on, that leaves only two hours left out of the day. Unless teenagers are geniuses and have a photographic memory, there is no way students can get a good thorough study in with two hours. So how do teens balance their school work with their Job?
A good way for students to balance school and work is to do a lot of school work at school and at work. While students are at school they normally have some free time during each class. It might not be long, but it is some time that can be beneficial. Once students put all that free time together it starts to add up. Then students also have some time later in the night to do the rest of their studying. Also if students have a lot of homework every night, then teenagers should not have a job that requires them to work every night.
School is more important than work because if students work hard and get good grades in school then they will get scholarships to colleges which prepare them to start working.
