A hail of a tale: Kendall’s story

Highway to hail

An ominous dark storm looms over the city of Wylie April 11, 2016. At about 6 p.m. rain started to fall. A few moments later, the damaging hail came crashing onto roofs, cars, buildings, trees and schools. All were damaged in mere minutes after it hit. Sophomore Kendall Nodorft was one of many unlucky students that got their homes and cars heavily damaged after the storm passed.

Nodorft was in her house when the storm occurred.

“I really didn’t see anything, but I heard a bunch of windows breaking,” Nodorft said.

After the storm passed, she went outside to inspect the damage done by this disaster. She discovered that her first car of only seven months was shattered, her memories along with it.

“The insurance came out and they said it was totaled,” Nodorft said.

Also equally damaged as the car, was the house. Some types of damage done to the house was holes through the roof, leaking pipes, and smash walls. All demolished in a blink of an eye.

“Our roof is leaking.  We have dents in our walls. Our windows are broken and the garage is trashed,” Nodorft said.
