Manufacturing class completes project for police department

The manufacturing class worked on a project for the police depart that helped them learn how to use a CNC router, a computer controlled machine that cuts various materials.

Students designed the program on a 3D design software and then used the router to cut out their designs.

“We were asked by the Wylie Police Department to create a badge and a patch to help decorate the police department,” construction teacher Mr. Tony Roseberry said.

The project was made out of wood.

“I like this class because you get to create with your imagination,” sophomore Rodrigo Garcia said.
