Twinning friends take advantage of goofiness throughout the day

Throughout the week of Oct. 12-16, students were given the chance to dress up in the theme of the year’s homecoming.

On twin day, girls wore Santa onesies and triplets dressed up as dominoes.

Freshman Brandi Logan, dressed as Mickey Mouse, found a homecoming idea on Pinterest. She used candy such as a York peppermint patty, Nerds, Snickers, Extra gum and Airheads to ask best friend Sydney head, dressed as Minnie Mouse, to homecoming.

“I wanted this year to be memorable and what is better than going to homecoming with someone who knows you for you?” Logan said.

Sophomore Kira Hight welcomed twin day as an opportunity to catch her best friend, junior Gemma Warren, to homecoming by spray painting a piece of cardboard.

With an array of colors and costumes, couples took advantage of the day to match each other.

“My girlfriend chose the entire outfit,” senior Jeremy McAlister said. “She wanted to twin and I went along with it to make her happy.”

The couple dressed in purple shirts, black cardigans, black pants and black shoes. Instead of going to the dance, McAlister took junior Hailey Mullins to do something they both would enjoy more.

“We went to dinner, saw Scorch Trials and visited a haunted house,” Mullins said.
