The Student Council built a flag Sept. 11 to remember all of the lives lost in the terrorist attack in 2001.

During lunches, by the front entrance of the school, seniors Sarah Lam, Clay Mobley, Garrison Whadford and Joahanna Olivas handed out stars to put on the flag.

“We wanted to reflect and respect the 2,958 victims of Sept. 11,” Mobley said.

STUCO Sponsor Angela Arp stood alongside Mr. Williams while helping out Student Council.

“This was to raise national pride and awareness of the people who died on Sept. 11,” Whadford said.

The flag was made up of 2,958 stars, each one containing a name of one of the victims. Each star was either red, white or blue, and it was used to create the American flag.
