Field house fills with smoke

The freshman blue team football game was over.

The players were headed to the locker room. Then they noticed smoke Sept. 1. Many of the players had left their bags in the field house.

“The locker room was smoking because a mouthpiece got left in the dishwasher,” freshman Geronimo Saucedo said.

While the field house was filling with smoke, the team wondered if they had any homework in the field house.  They were afraid that their teachers were not going to believe that they couldn’t do their homework.

“The only thing that was ruined was the dishwasher but nothing else inside of it,” Coach Smith said.

All of the blue team football players were waiting by the bus to get the clear to go back in. After the game was over, the trainer called the fire department.

“They had no idea what could have happened. It could’ve been worse than it was, if the situation was going to be ignored,” Coach Smith said. “It is always better to aide on the side of safety first.”
