Get your guns out Raiders. Future Farmers of America is hosting the first ever concealed handgun license classroom certification fundraiser.
It is Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church 120 Warren St. in Nevada, Texas 75173.
“CHL classes seem to be gaining more and more interest so it seemed to be the wise choice,” FFA Booster Club member Lori Brown said.
It is the most affordable CHL class in town. The cost is $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Any participant must be 21 and a Texas resident.
“100 percent of the profit goes towards FFA, so come out and support us,” FFA sponsor Mr. Tracy Vernon said.
Shooting range prequalification dates and firearms proficiency assistance are available.
“I believe a lot of people will show up at the CHL course. It will be very successful and helpful to everyone who goes,” FFA officer Emma Beebe said.
