Cadets from WEHS AFJROTC traveled to Baylor to compete in the Bear Drill Meet Feb. 23.

This meet only gave out awards for first place. Out of the 12 events,  Wylie East cadets participated in 10 and brought home four first place finishes.

The WEHS teams took first in unarmed regulation drill, led by Cadet Ethan Sims. They also won first place in Academic Award, Solo Rifle exhibition led by Cadet Zach Edington.  Cadets Chris Dao and Zach Edington won first in dual rifle exhibition.

“The rest of the teams performed well and will take this experience to our next meet in April,” Col Wilbanks said.
