Goatman’s Road, real or hoax?

Goatman’s Road is a popular place for teenagers to get a scare, especially on Halloween. Alexis Stewart, Wylie East Junior, went to the infamous Wylie road, last Friday evening.

“At first I didn’t really believe in the legend,” Stewart said, “When I got to the road I got a really creepy vibe. Mostly because you feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere.”

When people arrive at Goatman’s Road, they’re supposed to turn off their car, flash their lights three times, and honk their horns three times. They’re supposed to see the Goatman run across the road.

“We did everything we were supposed to do, and still did not see the famous Goatman run across anywhere,” Stewart said. “We thought we had done something wrong, while we were driving away, we thought we saw something standing in the middle of the road. We weren’t sure what it was, so we just kept on driving; that road was just too scary for me, that’s not really my scene.”

Every kid experiments with scary things at some point in their life whether or not, that something scary is a scary movie, or a haunted road is totally up to the kid. Many local teenagers have been to Goatman’s Road, not many of the kids realize that all of this is more likely just some man running around in a goat costume.

“I would do it again, maybe he’s real, maybe he’s not it’s up to the person to decide,” Stewart said. “All I know is next time, I’ll be locking my doors.
