Homecoming spirit themes announced

Homecoming is the week of Oct. 24-28. The homecoming parade is Monday, Oct. 24. Due to a scheduling conflict, the homecoming dance is not the Saturday after homecoming. Instead, it is Nov. 5.

Homecoming spirit days are as follows:

Monday, Oct. 24 – Raider Spirit Shirt and Jeans

Tuesday, Oct. 25 – “Walk on the Wild Side” Crazy Hair and Socks (Normal dress code otherwise)

Wednesday, Oct. 26  – “Hunt the Bulldogs” Camo and Jeans

Thursday, Oct. 27 – “Animal House” Animal Print Shirt and Jeans

Friday, Oct. 28 – Raider Spirit Shirt, Jeans, Mums and Garters

    I believe the crazy socks thing is just lame. Nobody really pays attention to anyone else’s socks. I think whoever decides these things can be a little more creative than that can’t they? My opinion is they should’ve done a “Welcome to the jungle” thing and have 80/90’s attire or something other than Wild socks. Isn’t socks off to TAKS a Middle school thing?

    I rather miss the crazy 60s, 50s and 80s that East did last year! People had a more creative outlet that week than just being able to wear animal prints or have crazy hair…
