Are you 17 or older and are in need of a summer job to earn lots of money? The City of Wylie is accepting applications for students interested in being part-time maintenance workers. Under the direction of a full-time Maintenance Worker, students will mow rights-of-ways, using riding and pushing lawnmowers, line trimmers and other such equipment. Students must be available in June of this year through the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, but students will have to have good attendance and be early to work.

In order to apply, students must have a driver’s license, a clean driving record, be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination and pass a drug screening. If the applicant has experience with lawn equipment, they will get a better chance at receiving the job. Payment comes in a $10.18 an hour for nine hours. If interested please submit an application to Human Resources, City of Wylie, 300 County Club Road, Wylie, TX 75098. There are only six positions available so apply now.
