Are you 17 or older and are in need of a summer job to earn lots of money? The City of Wylie is accepting applications for students interested in being part-time maintenance workers. Under the direction of a full-time Maintenance Worker, students will mow rights-of-ways, using riding and pushing lawnmowers, line trimmers and other such equipment. Students must be available in June of this year through the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, but students will have to have good attendance and be early to work.

In order to apply, students must have a driver’s license, a clean driving record, be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination and pass a drug screening. If the applicant has experience with lawn equipment, they will get a better chance at receiving the job. Payment comes in a $10.18 an hour for nine hours.
