This year Wylie East will attend the Relay for life as one team. Relay for life is an all night event to raise money. Each student has their own goal to reach as well as another goal for the whole team. It is one big competition to raise money for cancer research. Each student who applies is encouraged to raise $100. If those who apply do not attend the relay, it will affect the team’s overall total. Stop by Mrs. Smith’s room or contact Cody Howard at [email protected] for information, and or to turn in your forms. You can sign up online at www.relayforlife.com/wylietx. The next meeting is Thursday at 4:20 PM in the library.

About the Contributor

Ashley Braun, Opinion Editor
Hey guys the name is Ashley! I am a senior here at Wylie East and this is my second year on the newspaper staff. I am the opinions editor; this means I oversee everything in the opinions section. I speak my mind and am always open about what I think. Writing and photography are my passions. I am 17, love animals and my favorite color is purple. I have an obsession with Facebook and I’m constantly updating my page. Well, thanks for taking time out of your day to read a little about me. Have a great day!
