East Side Triumph // During the beginning of the Wylie East vs. Wylie High game Nov. 7, the varsity football team runs down the field as their entrance run out with smoke machines pumping and drill team cheering. Senior Jayden Janshego and his teammates were ready for the big game. “My favorite part was winning with my brother and my teammates,” Janshego said. Wylie East won 23-6.

Lights, camera, rapping \\ In the middle of one of her scripted raps, sophomore Emily Congemi in the character of Eleanor Skittles performs in the play Cursed and Confused: A Kingdom’s Quest, written by Bella Cavalier. The play follows the journey of a party of misfit adventurers, including Skittles the bard, seeking to remove a curse from their kingdom. “I love the character I got to play, because I like it when you can just kind of go crazy with your character,” Congemi said. “And I got to wear a wig, which was pretty funny.”
