Three of the Texas state Future Farmer of America officers met with Mr. Tracy Vernon’s agricultural classes today.
After traveling to Wylie High School, the class of 2013 graduates spoke to agriculture students about leadership and public speaking.
“They visit three schools a day every day of the school year to speak with FFA members,” FFA Advisor Tracy Vernon said.
Concluding with a question and answer session, the three officers taught their audience valuable lessons.
“They helped me with tips on public speaking,” junior Samantha Murray said. “I learned from their mistakes.”
Vernon hopes his students learned a great deal from the officers sharing their stories.
“The state officers gave our kids a great inspirational speech on agriculture and how our kids can fulfill dreams and be successful like they were,” Vernon said.
