The first prom is approaching and with it new traditions and memories that will last for generations to come. One of these new traditions is choosing class superlatives. Superlatives are awards given to students who have won the respect of their peers. Some of these awards include “Mr. and Mrs. WEHS”, “Prince/Princess”, and “Class Favorite.” These nominations and awards will be given to the individuals who receive the most nominations by their class members. Nominations will take place April 19 during all English classes. A scroll will be presented to those nominated, but it will not say the category or if they won. The winners for freshmen and sophomores will be announced Friday May 6 during school. At prom, the junior superlative winners will be announced. This is not ‘just an award’ this is a prestigious honor which should be accepted with pride.
