She loves computer science. She participates in Student Council. She dislikes bad grades. Long story short, she’s Grace Reyes. 

Tell me about yourself. Hobbies, interests, opinions, dislikes?

I do boxing for fun. Boxing helps me get my emotions out. I have two dogs named Pepper and Angel. I love music and social media. I love watching movies, and my favorite show is Grey’s Anatomy. 

What clubs are you a part of?

I’m in StuCo, Debate and SkillsUSA. StuCo is student council and we plan out spirit weeks, homecoming and school events. You get to stay after school and make posters. I love hanging out with my friends in StuCo. Debate is in intro class, and I look forward to meeting new people. I took Debate to get better talking skills. I am in SkillsUSA because it’s fun to work on projects for computer maintenance and cybersecurity.

What do you enjoy about STUCO?

I enjoy doing projects and planning out school projects. I’ve been on StuCo for two years now and my favorite part is staying after school and working on posters.

What endorsement are you in?

I’m in cyber security- computer maintenance. I like how it’s hands-on with the computers. I took the endorsement because I’m good at computers and enjoy it.

What’s your favorite part about being in Skills?

We haven’t done much yet, but I’m excited to do projects with my friends and I look forward to getting to know the people in my club.

What’s your best memory so far in cybersecurity?

We got to make a cord and it was so much fun. We got to build ethernet cables, which are cords that connect to wires.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be something in IT—in computers.

What’s your greatest accomplishment?

When I sang a song in front of the church even though I had stage fright. I’m very proud of myself for overcoming that fear.

What are your strengths?

I work hard academically and do my best. I’m a team player and collaborate well with others. I’m very social and a great communicator.

What motivates you?

I am motivated by my grandma. She grew up very strict, so she always has great advice and helps me do my homework. She always has a lesson to teach me. I just want to make her proud.

What are your goals for the future?

I want to go to a good college and get a good job, and to make good money.
