Why did you decide to do powerlifting?

I chose powerlifting because it’s a very fun and a strong sport where it aims to increase your maximal strength and work together with your teammates that can help push you to not think about the weight.

What was your best moment during powerlifting?

My favorite memory of powerlifting will have to be State. State was so fun, especially staying in the hotel away from your home while having fun with your teammates. The car rides were the most memorable times I would cherish. I wish I could go back to that day.

What is one thing that you did to prepare yourself for powerlifting?

One thing is that you have to prepare yourself to mentally lift and also to identify and strengthen your strength and weak areas. Even if you haven’t gotten the first deadlift at your first meet, it’s okay to let your tears out and be frustrated. You have to know that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!

What is the highest amount you can lift?

The highest I can lift/squat will have to be 350.

Do you want to continue powerlifting in the future?

To be honest, I’ve been doing powerlifting for almost three years and I’m this close to my senior year. After powerlifting in my senior year, I’m planning on retiring from powerlifting. It’s been super fun because I made a lot of memories there, but I have to retire from it.

What is next for you?

I’m planning to go to a four-year college after senior year to study Pharmacy and entrepreneur while God is going to guide me to my successful future when I step into society.
