Observing his competitors, junior Keaton Black waits at the 10th hole. He competed at the Richardson High School Invitational at the WaterView tournament Sept. 21 and placed third in junior varsity with a score of 83.

Due to UIL rules regarding transfer students, Keaton can not play on varsity until the spring.

The varsity boys (Ethan Travis, Cameron Cline, Leo Diegel, Grayson Leonard and Lucas Pendley) placed second as a team with two of the boys medaling as individualists:  Ethan Travis placed fifth with an 83 and Cameron Cline placed 10th with an 89.

Junior varsity player Jacob Burns medaled as an individualist by placing eighth with a 95.

“It was the first tournament of the season, and all the guys did exceptionally well,” golf coach Mrs. Melinda Black said.  “Shout out to all Raider Golf Team members on a job well done.”
