The school capped off a very successful athletic year by watching two twins sign their letters of intent to play volleyball at Tarleton State May 26.

Senior Brittany Fannin, and her twin sister Ashley Fannin, have been varsity members in the volleyball program since their sophomore year.

“Throughout their high school career, they have both shown a great amount of passion for volleyball, tenacity, discipline, commitment, and determination,” volleyball coach Lisa Curry said.  “It has always been a dream and a goal for them to play at the collegiate level.”

They have reached the playoffs in all three years they’ve had the opportunity and follow in senior Julia Pearson’s footsteps in signing their letters of intent.

Playing college volleyball has long been a dream for the twins, as teammates have seen their hard work pay off in multiple ways on and off the court. When they aren’t in season for school volleyball, they are on the sand playing sand volleyball. When they aren’t in season for sand volleyball, they’re in different courts for club volleyball, and when no sport is in season they are in the gym daily, grinding to become the best.

The girls will attend Tarleton State this fall, joining the volleyball program.

“I am so proud of them and can’t wait to see them play at Tarleton,” Curry said.
