Soccer girls teams dominate at Winter Classic
The soccer girls on both the varsity and junior varsity teams competed in the Wylie ISD Winter Classic. The varsity girls finished first in their division with a 3-0-0 record and the junior varsity team ended the weekend with 2-1.
The varsity girls played Richardson Berkner, Rowlett and Adamson with ending scores of 7-0, 2-1 and 9-0 respectively.
“The girls allowed one goal and scored 18 goals on their way to the championship,” varsity coach Kody Christensen said.
The junior varsity girls played Naaman Forest, Wylie High and Grand Prairie with end scores of 5-0, 0-2 and 3-0.
“The tournament was a success,” Christensen said. “Our girls represented our school and district in a very good way. Thank you [the school] for your support.”
