Are you…Ready for It?
Taylor Swift concert was in my Wildest Dreams
October 16, 2018
The answer to that question is no. I was not ready for it. The second she entered gave me goosebumps, the bass made my seat rumble, and I’m not gonna lie, tears almost came out of my eyes. Her performance was Gorgeous.
The news of the tickets actually came to me in a unusual way. I was in the middle of showering when my mom yelled “Hey, do you want to go to a Taylor Swift concert?” I was so flabbergasted that there was a Blank Space in my speech, but I finally managed to get a “yes” out of my mouth. The concert was in two weeks, she told me, so I had to get ready, pronto.
Parking at the AT&T Stadium, as you can expect, was a pain. But let’s be real, when is it not?
When my mom and I entered, we were handed two white bracelets. I had been to a TS concert before, so I knew what they were for. The lines for the merchandise were crazy long, but we were there decently early.
After buying a T-Swifty t-shirt, we went to go find our seats. Now usually, my mom and I have a good sense of direction, but to find two seats took four event staff, three fellow concert watchers, and two very lost girls. But we just had to Shake it Off.
After finally finding the seats, artists Camila Cabello and Charlie XCX opened the show. However, it was hard to pay attention while the excitement for the real show was running through my veins.
After two hours of the opening show, the lights finally went out and a voice boomed into the arena informing everyone to pull the tab on their bracelets. Shortly after, the stadium lit up with red color as everyone’s bracelet illuminated a red light.
Swift opened her show with her bass booming song, Ready for It? I screamed and screamed every word and danced to every beat. Our bracelets, along with the rest of the arena’s, were changing colors to the beat of the song.
She sung songs from her newest album “Reputation,” but stuck in lots of old songs like Love Story and Bad Blood. Her stage setup was incredible, incorporating snakes into everything (Kanye West calls her a snake, and she takes that as a compliment). I sung my heart out to every song she sang, and by the end my voice had disappeared.
Taylor Swift will never go out of Style, and I hope to get the opportunity to go to another one of her Gorgeous concerts. Oct. 6 was for sure a night to remember.
