With the baseball season starting, the baseball team is gearing up for a promising season, hoping to make it to playoffs.

Seniors Adam Herod and Knox Wilson gave insight on what the baseball teams’ hopes are for this upcoming season.

“I’m most excited to compete and just have fun with the team and the 10th man,” Wilson said.

Having a plan and being prepared can encourage players to have confidence for the rest of the season.

“I think if we play and execute the way we are planning to, we can keep winning,” Herod said.

Different team dynamics can make the team better as a whole.

“The big difference I see is the togetherness we all have. It truly is a win as one and lose as one approach which all successful teams have,” Wilson said.

Crosstown rivals make the sport experience way more competitive.

“Playing against Wylie High is what I am most excited about because going head- to -head against people that I actually know is way more fun,” Herod said.

Sometimes it is not all about keeping the winning streak alive.

“Well we lost the undefeated season, but I believe if we do what we are taught, we will have a very successful season and get our way in playoffs,” Wilson said.

Having a solid connection with the teammates is important when creating a strong team.

“This year especially the teams’ chemistry is great. we mostly get along with each other and always have a good time,” Herod said.
