In the 2023 soccer season, the girls’ team have overcome a goal they set for themselves which is scoring 100 goals in the season.

Juniors Raegan Hollis, Karlee Leary and Bryn Geppert helped make their dream become a reality.

“We all had a big group hug on the field and held up 100 with our hands,” Hollis said.

It was much more than kicking a ball into a net.

“Scoring 100 goals definitely gave us even more confidence,” Leary said. “We are a strong team and will go far into the playoffs.”

The team has been working towards scoring 100 goals all season, so they were relieved when they reached this goal.

“When we scored our 100 goal, and it was a feeling of excitement,” Geppert said. “Scoring 100 goals has been a huge goal for us this season, so that feeling was very rewarding from the work we have been putting in throughout this year.”

The team keeps pushing through even after accomplishing what they set out to do.

“We want to score as many goals as we can and keep our winning streak going all the way into the playoffs,” Hollis said.

Being a good team makes looking towards the future even better.

“I am looking forward to the playoffs and traveling with this team,” Leary said. “We have such good chemistry and every out-of-town trip we have so much fun.”

The team won’t stop here; reaching this goal gives them momentum going into the playoffs.

“Reaching this goal has given me more motivation and confidence,” Geppert said. “It shows that me and my team can keep achieving other goals we have set for the season.”
