New construction is taking place near the athletic field house, in the 400 hallway and by the library.

By the field house, a new IMPAC building is being built. This is for the band, athletics department, and ROTC to use for competition and games if there is bad weather outside.

Renovations are also undergoing to the baseball/softball field. The renovations consist of new round bleachers and stands for spectators, new restrooms and a better metal fence. This is estimated to be done in between March and May.

“I am very excited because the construction gives us an opportunity to get new and updated equipment and puts us on an even level with the high schools around us,” girls soccer coach Kody Christensen said.

The 400 hallway will add four new Career and Technology Education classrooms. Two of them are for health science, and two are for engineering. These new rooms will help alleviate crowding.. The construction is expected to be completed by the beginning of next school year.

“I’m excited to have some new facilities, and I finally get a real engineering lab,” engineering teacher Dr. Jacob Day said.

Next to the library a new store for WE Print is under construction to sell spirit wear to the students and outside community, such as parents and Raider fans. The store is also expected to be done by the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year.
