Priceless speech

A chosen one // Writing down the name of one of her classmates, sophomore Bianka Rodriguez paid close attention to detail. She was one of the eight students chosen to read their speeches aloud to the class, but when the time came to vote, did not vote for herself, but for her deserving peer.

Mrs. Jennifer Price’s fourth period PAP English II students read their speeches aloud to the class as a character from the Shakespearean play “Julius Caesar” Oct. 23.

The top eight speeches were chosen the day before when the class was sectioned into groups and voted on the best speech.

Bianka Rodriguez, Kelly Chu, Allison Witty, Mary Harkins, Jessica Fahsholtz, and Mallory Ewing, were the Top Eight. They presented Oct. 23.

The best speech received school supplies as a special award, along with the candy given to the rest of the class for participating.
