Spanish Honor Society visits SMU, Meadows Museum
February 6, 2015
Spanish III PAP, Spanish IV AP and Spanish Honor Society members traveled to the Meadows Museum and to the Bush Presidential Library on the Southern Methodist University campus Feb. 5.
The first stop was at the Meadows Museum. The museum specializes in art from Spain and other countries in the Spanish speaking world.
“At the Meadows Museum we got to see Goya’s, satirical painters, artwork and learned about his time period involving the war between religion and the people,” junior Jamie Zaborsky said.
The next stop was the Bush Presidential Library.
“There was a 360 degree screen when we entered the Bush Presidential Library and that was my favorite part,” junior Mya George said.
The students and teachers were also able to eat at one of the SMU cafeterias.
“This was fun because they had any kind of food you wanted and it was all you could eat,” Spanish teacher, Ms. Isbell said.
This year’s field trip consisted of the largest group of students so far.
“We hope this field trip will become a tradition,” Isbell said.
