The entire district will be celebrating the basketball sensation of March Madness the week of March 3-9.
The students are allowed to wear college t-shirts and sweatshirts with their standardized dress code Monday through Friday.
Teachers are encouraged to engage in collegiate talk with their students and wear their college shirts.
“Try to wart a college shirt every day next week and talk to any and all students about their plans for their future,” said Amy Millis, director of academic and career connections.
ROTC is taking their part in this by collecting money for a fundraiser.
Before school, during lunch, and after school Wednesday March 6, and Thursday March 7, ROTC will sell wrist bands for $1 to wear jeans with a college shirt or sweat shirt on Friday March 8.
The money will go to benefit the wounded veteran fund. For more information about this program see ROTC raises funds to send veteran to memorial.
“Students may not wear a professional sports shirt or jersey during this week,” Principal Mr. Williams said.
