Future plans \\ Her high school teacher and a Future Teacher Program inspired Engineering Teacher Mrs. Christina Sweek to become a teacher. “I want to help my students to find out whether they want to be an engineer in the future or not,” Mrs. Sweek said.

Hailing from a middle school, Engineering Teacher Mrs. Christina Sweek is a fresh face in the 400 hall. She joined the staffulty this school year.

What school district did you come from?

Garland ISD.

 

How long have you been teaching?

This is my seventh year.

 

What was the most exciting thing you’ve experienced so far this year?

I like the community in Wylie, and I also like the change of going from a middle school, which is where I used to be, to a high school level. There are a lot of exciting things going on in Wylie East and I am excited to learn more about them.

 

What inspired you to teach?

I had a really good teacher in high school that inspired me and I was part of the Future Teacher Program there.

 

What is your goal by the end of the year?

I want to help my students figure out if they want to be an engineer or not.
